ATHLETICS
At St. Mary Catholic School, we believe that athletics are an indispensable part of our mission to form the entire person. We aim to produce athletes with skill, tenacity, and good sportsmanship. Through our team sports, we build camaraderie among players, teach respect and fair play, and honor competitive excellence. St. Mary offers the following sports through the Catholic Schools Athletic League:
St. Mary also participates in the Archdiocesan Play Like A Champion (PLAC) program. This educational program developed by the University of Notre Dame is a research-based, child-centered curriculum designed to:
- Help us recognize the spiritual nature of sports,
- Train youth sport coaches to be effective ministers, and
- Promote the moral and character development of our youth.
All parents of children participating in sports at St. Mary are required to attend a one-hour PLAC class. These are offered numerous times throughout the school year.
Please contact our Athletic Director, Mr. Dave Strawbridge, with any questions.
