5 Pillars of Education
The essence of our educational mission is to guide students in discovering and cultivating the art of living, enabling them to craft beautiful lives aligned with God's plan. This involves embracing their unique vocations and answering the call to lead virtuous lives as companions with Christ.
Our educational framework stands on five pillars, each reinforcing the other to shape well-rounded individuals. These pillars include Friendship with Christ, Educational Covenant, Narrative Intelligence, Virtues and Flourishing.
Friendship with Christ: serve as the cornerstone for lessons and discussions both within and beyond the classroom setting. Whether imparted during our School of Prayer sessions, in the context of regular classroom lessons, or employed to guide students in redirection, these foundational values form the bedrock of our educational approach.
Education Convenant: emphasizes the significance of relationships, fostering collaboration among students, teachers, peers, parents, and clergy. This collective effort highlights the value of cooperation, a lesson integral to our students' learning experience.
Narrative Intelligence: revolves around nurturing the learner's moral imagination. This development occurs through academic channels such as reading and engaging with stories featuring virtuous characters. Additionally, pastoral work, facilitated by our students through the Polaris programs, further contributes to this growth. These programs leverage the depth of a sacramental vision, encouraging students to perceive humanity and virtue in others, thus influencing the shaping of their own desires.
Virtues: Directing students to navigate life guided by virtues, incorporating these principles into their daily experiences and challenges
Flourishing: Empowering students through robust intellectual engagement within the context of their daily practices and challenges acts as a guiding compass, steering them along the path to mastering the art of living
Together, these 5 Pillars form the foundation for a transformative and purposeful educational journey.
