Our purpose at St. Mary is to help our students to flourish through the acquisition of virtues and as friends and disciples of Christ so that they will master the “art of living”.
God has given us two gifts that are connected: great desires and a vocation to greatness. The saint, the hero, and the genius are hidden in us, but our desires are pointing toward them. “Learning the art of living” consists in learning to order their desires toward the good, the beauty and the truth. It also consists in achieving the virtues needed to act those desires. The combination of both will make them capable of drawing out the saint, hero or genius that lies within them. By doing so, they will be faithful spouses, parents, and leaders, ready to build the Kingdom of God on Earth.
